First Look!

FI and I decided to do a first look before the ceremony. I persuade him by telling him that if we see each other for the first time as I walk down the aisle it was just going to be too fast-passed and if we did a first look it would be more intimate and we would get to hold each other and kiss and really spend some time with each other before the I DO. Then I followed by showing him these pictures from bellebride 116's blog. His reaction towards his beautiful bride is priceless!!! Take a look.

After this everyone would want a first look. Don't you think? lol You won't get this through a regular walk down the aisle. Not that everyone should do this. Of course everyone thinks differently and may not like this at all. Me in the other hand, I love it! I want this! I told FI to give me a tear lol just a tiny one lol and he said "Seriously Pam, I can't do that" lol I guess is the macho in him jejeje.

So yes. I'm very very excited and I'm looking forward to this and all of our other events :)

Groom and Groomsman Attire

These are the inspirations pictures we found for the guys attire. FI will be wearing a lining suit we bought at Macy's. We does not want to wear a tie and wants the undershirt to be open so the his chest is visible. His guys will be wearing linen pants with Cubavera shirts also bought at Macy's. Plan is for everyone to walk barefooted on the sand for the ceremony and for the receptions they can wear flip flops or whatever they want. Most of them decided on leather sandals.

Single Digits

Oooh Yeah!!!! Just 9 days to go before the wedding and 2 days before we travel to Dominican Republic.
Happy Dance, Happy Dance!

That's all for today =)

More Must Takes :)

I can't stop thinking about wedding day pictures. I'm so excited to be married already and celebrate with our guests. To me pictures are everything. They last a lifetime and then some. I know Julia will do an amazing job capturing all the details and taking great candid shots, still I couldn't help to go online and browse for more must take pictures. Here are some of my favorite :)

Some are HOT! aren't they ;) I can't wait for our trash the dress session at sunset the day after the wedding. Super excited!

1 Year of Blogging.... Awesome!

How excitting!

Time has really flown by this past year. I can't believe that in just 10 days I'll be a married woman =D
Holy mother of Jesus! The best part is that I was able to document, to an extend, the last year of planning this wedding and with the cool feature I saw blogger has I plan on making this blog into a keepsake book and saving it with one of everything from my wedding DIY projects. That way I will always remember this special time in my life. It has been a wonderful journey and I wouldn't trade not even 1 memory of it. I believe I've gotten so much more creative and I even feel grown lol as I get closer to the big day and I have my Awesome DW Knotties to thank as well as my wonderful vendors Gabriel and Caritza from GT Modern Creations and Julia Azcona Photography and lets not forget the most Wonderful TA ever! Diane from DestinationWeddings.com Thank you guys for helping us the wedding of our dreams. We couldn't have done it without you guys and girls :)

BM's Gift #1

One of my co workers gave me the idea of DIY'ing wine glasses to give to my girls as part of their gift.
I meet her over on Monday after worker at her house and we started painting away. I honestly suck at details. I don't know how I managed to "help" her making these but I love how they turned out. It took roughly 6 hours to complete 4 wine glasses. I hope my bridesmaids love them as much as we do. And of course you know I had to do a beach scenery :)

If you would like instructions on how we did them feel free to contact me. It wasn't hard at all, mostly fun :) especially if you have a glass of wine next to you ;)

Happy Monday!

Hair & Makeup Inspirations

This past Wednesday I meet my Amazing photographer Julia to go over wedding day details and timeline. She asked about my hair and makeup and honestly I hadn't giving this much thought. I just know what I want. But it has not been easy looking for a picture of it.

Last Summer I went to a Knottie GTG in NYC and Angie showed me a picture of a hairstyle I felt in love with. Ever since then I have not looked around for anything else. That's what I want and that's it!. So I sure hope the girls in DR do it just like I'm imagining it. I figured as long as my hair comes out similar to the photos I've collected I won't be a bridezilla. Take a look. I don't think that's too much to ask for, do you?

This style is the one Angie showed me. How gorgeous is this?! =)
This one is similar but less messier

And this one! this one I just love how it sticks out the back more than the others. It looks very similar to my high school years hairstyle :) and one thing I want on my wedding day is to look like myself, not some girl with a weird hairstyle and heavy makeup. I know with this hair style, when I look back through our wedding pics I'll be thinking "wow, I never change lol". My friends would always get on me about changing hair styles but I didn't care.. It was fast and it made me look cute :)

For my makeup, now that's a bit tricky. I hardly ever wear make it. I'm more of a lip gloss and eyeliner type chick lol. And that's how FI fell in love with me. When I try to do my makeup it never comes out like I wanted it to but when someone else does it boy do I look nice! I feel weird with makeup and FI says he doesn't like me wearing it. He says when I do it heavy I look fake.

I was very very impressed with how my makeup turned out for my boudoir session. So I asked Caritza to do it for me for the wedding and she agreed. I want something just like she did it that day, click here to see the teasers, maybe just a little more dramatic eyes. Just a little more no too much. And thanks to Julia who showed me these pictures I also want something soft and natural looking like Tamara's makeup on her wedding day.

I love the Mowry twins! I remember watching their show Sister,Sister lol and their Disney movies. They're so grown up now and pretty of course :) and staying out of the drama world... love it!

That's all  for today :)

MIB Invites Part III - Completed!

There's really nothing much I can say  for this post besides that I am extremely extremely happy I decided to do my own wedding invitations. It took a long time to complete them and I had a few bad/annoying/upsetting experience with them but at the end of it all I got so many compliments. It felt really good to see and hear everyone say how awesome they turned out.

I've seen wedding invitations like this done by other couples and even professionals and I always thought "Dam it Pam! why did you have to go and think you where creative and crafty enough to do these when you could of had someone else do them for you and make them fabulous!" Then I turn around a peak at my own creation and say "No way! No one could of made my invites be as special as I made them look. Not only did I did them with my bare hands but they came from my heart". And that's what makes them even more beautiful and special.

This is my final product. Enjoy!

If anyone is interested on knowing how I did them feel free to contact me. I plan writing step by step how I did them, unfortunately it will not be until after the wedding. I'm already yanking my hair because I don't have enough hours during the day to finish up last minute things I need for the wedding. I can't imaging taking so much time to write all that down because I know for a fact it will be a very long post lol.

Happy Friday!
