Deliver the STDs…. Check!

There was nothing that could have happened this entire week that could have ruined the happiness I felt. After getting our save the date last week my fiancé and I decided to get them all delivered this week and we finally finished. We started on Monday after we got home from work, some were hand delivered and the rest were sent out by mail. I wanted to hand deliver the save the date at least to our guests that lived near us for many reasons. One reason being because we’ve been engaged for over a year now and not everyone was aware that we had decided on a date for next year. Thus I wanted to give them the opportunity to ask us questions that they had after reading the information we had given them.

Well let me just say that hand delivering the majority of the save the dates turned out to be something very special for us, even though it took longer than we had hoped for we would do it again in a heartbeat. Not only did we get to answer all the questions our guests had, we also got to see their expression when they open them and went through all the details. We saw excitement, happiness, eagerness and some were even surprised because they had no idea we were getting married next year, just like I had anticipated, and that it was a destination wedding in beautiful Punta Cana, DR.

Today I’m happy to say that our closest family and friends are finally on board with our wedding plans. It was so hard keeping everything a secret for so many months especially for me because after working on booking the resort and getting our STDs ready I felt like my, ok ok our dream wedding was truly becoming a reality.

Is here, is here!

My order from Vista Print arrived on Saturday. I was so excited when I walked through that door and saw a big box sitting on the couch. Especially because we had just arrived from the Philadelphia Zoo and the only thing I could think of was taking a nice long shower and going to bed. However, when I realized that the box was for me a grabbed all my belongings walked down the stairs (to our part of the house) and sat on our couch. I went through everything I’d order and loved every single item. This order included the rest of the brochures I created to send along with the STDs and some business cards I also created that has quick at-hand-info such as our date, website address, resort name, etc. Now our STDs are officially ready to go out. In a way I’m kind of nervous because once those STDs are out there’s no turning back. That really makes our wedding official, Yaayyy!
Crossword puzzle postcard, Business cards, Door hanger, Brochures, Notepad, Pen

Bride, MOH, & BM hats and t-shirts

The complete order :)

Vista Print…how much I love thee

About two weeks ago I ordered some wedding related items from vista print at a very reasonable price. The best part was that I received all the items within one week and let me just say that I was a very happy customer. Today I decided to do a little more shopping for the rest of the items I needed to send out my save the dates. I went crazy and ordered so many things. I did in fact purchased everything I needed and then some more for the oot bags I’ll be giving my guests when we are in Punta Cana and some gifts for my bridal party. Again the price was very good and I can’t wait to have everything and post pictures.

On another note, next week I’ll have the pleasure to meet with a wonderful knottie that got married in Puerto Rico last year. I felt in love with her bio and her paper related projects. We became friends in facebook and her wonderful husband created my boarding pass STDs. I can’t wait to meet them both and see the finished product of my boarding pass. I’ll be going to NYC for the day with some friends and then I’ll meet with the wonderful knottie and her husband. Hopefully Mother Nature is good on Monday and the weather is beautiful so we can enjoy every minute of it. I’ll be sure to post pictures as soon as I get back from NYC so make sure to come back and check them out :)

Happy (late) 4th of July!

I hope everyone had a blessed and safe day yesterday and I'm hoping your weekend was great. We had our son’s 4th birthday party on Saturday and I loved every minute of it. My little baby boy is no longer a baby. Ohhh how I miss the times when he was so tiny and chubby and I just held him close and filled him with hugs and kisses. Now he just wants to run around and jump everywhere with kids his age. I know, I know this has nothing to do with my wedding but he is in the wedding party if that makes it any better :). We are who we are today because of him, probably if he wouldn’t of been here today we wouldn’t be planning our wedding or maybe we would be, truth is that we will never know and I’m okay with that because I love how my life is. Meet the most important child in my life...My son!
