3 Months to go!

Yipppeee! Time has been going by so fast its crazy. Just to think that in less than 100 days I'll be a wife, hai hai hai.

Talking about 100 days, last Thursday we hit the 100 day mark. I wanted to do something special because come on, how many times do you have 100 days till your wedding? Yea, that's what said.

This wonderful knottie gave me an awesome idea. She was writing 100 reasons why she wanted to married her FI and she was planning on giving it to him when they hit their 100 days mark. I said to myself "Dam Pam! why can you have neat ideas like that" lol so I sent her a message and asked her if I could use her idea to give to FI. She said yes and right away I got to writing. I got to say, it only took me 5 hours to do. Although when I hit 60 I was kind of stuck lol.

That being said, last Thursday came and right after work I headed to the store to buy a frame and some chocolate. I framed it and put it on a gift bag with the chocolates. Later that night FI took me out to eat for my birthday and I took advantage of the situation to give it to him. I waited until we got home though. I said thank you for dinner and then a handed him the gift bag. He took it with this look on his face that said "wait I thought it was your birthday" lol he's so sweet :) and when he opened it the first thing that came out of his mouth was "Wow! 100 reasons" lol it was so funny. Then he read it, kissed me, and well... lol you know.

Here are some pictures of how it turned out. I printed it in color but decided to do it black and white instead so now I have to change the one in the frame for this one. Eventually I plan on printing it on photo paper since I have it frame and it sits in my living room :)

Happy Friday!

Hair Flower

Isn't it beautiful? I love it so much, I don't think I can find anything better.
I decided to wear a flower in my hair on my wedding day but I didn't really pay much attention to it until recently. I thought that I would just wear a real flower from the florists or something but the more I thought about it the more I convinced myself that that wasn't a good idea. Think about it, a real flower in my hair for who knows how many hours... yea, I don't think it will last that long.
So I went in search of a flower on etsy. I really didn't find nothing that caught my eyes so I started to look at bios to get ideas. I usually go over to my favorite bios from previous knotties to see if anything pops out at me and no surprise indeed this flower did. This flower belongs to the same knottie that I've had the pleasure of meeting a few times now and she's the wife to my wonderful videographer.
I contacted her and asked her if she by any change still had this flower and if she would consider selling it to me. I get a reply back that said that she really wasn't planning on selling it because she loves it too much. :( However... she offered to let me use it on my wedding day as my something borrowed. I was not expecting that at all, she made my day. I was and still am so excited! Lots of wonderful things have been happening to me as the wedding gets closer and closer and I have nothing to say but Thank You to god for letting me be so fortunate and blessed to have met all the people in my life at this very moment in time. I truly feel blessed.
This wedding has been growing in me more than I had ever imagine. I cannot wait to see all of our plans and ideas come together to form our dream wedding. Just 13 weeks to go! =)

Rings....Checked!

We got our rings, we got our rings!

Well actually we ordered them on Tuesday and the jewelers said that we'll we get them in two weeks. This is so exciting for me, I've been wanting to get them for awhile now and we finally did. I cannot wait to see them and get them engraved and show them off on the wedding day :D I had a smile from ear to ear when we left the jewerly store lol and I still do.

I just had to share. Maybe I'll post pictures once they're in =)

DIY Parasols

It took a while but they are done and they look fantabulous!

I just finished them last weekend thanks to the help of one of my bffs. I love the way they turned out. I couldn't be any happier :)

If anyone is interested on knowing how I did them feel free to ask.

Hectic Week Recap

The past couple of weeks have been crazy crazy crazy. I haven't had a few minutes to just sit and relax and blog about my accomplishments and excitement or anything else for that matter :)

I started a part time job at a local hospital and they wanted me to orient for the entire month of March. Not to mention that I couldn't get 4 weeks off from my full time job to be trained for another job lol, so I've been working two jobs, going to school 2 nights a week, trying to tackle down some wedding projects, and being at home taking care of my family. How am I doing it do you ask? Ummm... I don't know, but one thing I'll tell you is that I'm very sleep deprived right now and come this weekend (my first days off in 3 weeks) if anyone, anyone at all dares to wake me up before 11am they will get their head chopped off.

Enough rambling, lets get to what's important here.

Last week was my spring break from school. My plans were to complete lots of DIY projects and wedding related shopping, do a little studying, stalk some bios for some inspirational last minute things, and do lots of knotting on the knot. Sadly my plans didn't go according to plan =(

On Monday I made plans to have a friend over to work on my parasols. I also wanted to go to the hair salon and get doll up before my birthday but I didn't want to cancel on my friend since we can never agree on dates to get together. I told myself that I would go to the hair salon on Tuesday so I went home and cooked because I was expecting my friend to come over around 4p. It was almost 8p and she was not here yet. At this point I was beyond mad. Not only because I could of went to get my hair done while she did who knows what but also because I knew we weren't going to get much done since I had to be at work at 6am the next day and I wanted to go to bed no later than 10pm. To make a long story short she showed up a like 8ish and we talked awhile and finished both parasols :) yaayyy!

On Tuesday, right after work, I went straight to get my hair done then to another friend's house for a while before going to the funeral of one of my co worker's father. It was a sad and long day. As soon as I arrived home I went straight to bed. I was exhausted!

Wednesday came and it was my birthday :) yayyy!
I had plans to go get manis and pedis with my girls but little did I know that they had other plans. I went over my friend's house and Surprise! it was a small get together with my bffs and their husbands, the kids, FI, great food and a delicious strawberry cake... yummy =) I had an awesome time. I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends.

On Thursday FI took me out for dinner and we just relaxed.

Friday we went out to eat again and I had an early night because I had a long and busy week. That weekend all I wanted to do was sleep, clean, study, and relax. Again, none of the above were accomplished. Oh wait just the cleaning lol.

Saturday after work I started working on our monogrammed aisle runner. This is the day when all my cleaning was done. FI was so mad because he was stuck at home on a Saturday night but honestly I was so tired I just wanted to be in bed watching tv. I felt so bad for him but he got to go out and watch a fight with his cousins and I got to sleep and cuddle with our son :) Everyone won! lol

Sunday after FI got out of church and I got out of work we met FFIL for dinner. Then we did some shopping for the house. We got home late and I went straight to bed. I feel like all I've done the past few weeks is sleep, work, and eat. I feel like I'm on autopilot. ugh.

The biggest check of all for me has been finishing our MIB Invites :D wait till you see them, you will love them! I can't wait to deliver them and see what our guests have to say.

Engagement Video

Back in late summer when we did our engagement photo shoot with Julia we also had an engagement video done by Gabriel, yes the same Gabriel that did our save the dates. What can I say he's awesome =)

Well just recently he emailed me the link to the video on vimeo and I felt in love. What a sweet moment I had while watching it with FI. We laughed and Awww the full 4 minutes lol. We remembered just how our day had started and the beautiful ending.

Believe it or not but I'm a very shy and quiet girl. I won't approach you unless you approach me first. However, I've noticed the past few years that I do not present myself as a shy and quiet girl online. I feel so different. Like I can be me, or better yet the person I wish I could be in front of new people. It takes time for me to adjust and be myself in front of people I've never met before, yet for some reason when I meet up with Caritza and her husband Gabriel it takes about 5 minutes for me to act like "myself" with them. I feel like I've known them for years. We email each other often and comment on each other's pictures and status on facebook just like I would to my closest friends. They are truly amazing people and I'm so glad I got the opportunity to meet them and have them be part of my special day.

For our engagement session Caritza did my makeup and she'll be doing my makeup for my wedding too, although she doesn't know that yet lol. Of course if she's not too busy working with her husband on catching those special moments that we will someday in the future awww and laugh to as well. they have been through what I'm going through, meaning the wedding and planning process, and I feel confident on the trust I have for them. They make a great team!

Without further ado here is the link to the video. Enjoy!

Annoyed!

I have had a day from Hell today.

My day started just fine with a call from my cousin about flight prices being $200 cheaper from yesterday. I was on my way to work already so I decided to get online as soon as I arrive at work and book my brother and his fiance and daughter's tickets along with my fiance, son, and brother-in-law.

For some odd reason I booked my flight without FI or son, mostly FI's fault, because he had an unused flight from November 2010 that they had to go to Puerto Rico for Thanksgiving weekend but they had to cancel it because FI's grandmother passed away in September so he ended up traveling earlier. November came and they didn't have to go to PR anymore so he decided to save the flight for the wedding. He didn't have the confirmation number the day I was booking and I had to book my flight because one of my bridesmaid and her husband had booked theirs and I just felt horrible that they had booked and the bride and groom hadn't booked yet. So I said "I'll just book his flight tomorrow then". Well tomorrow turned into today and when I went to book everyone's flight they only had the 7:20am available for under $500 but the 1:55pm flight, which is the flight that my friend, mom, sister, and I are on was $1100 :'''( [I was in tears, literally].

Why, oh why didn't I book everyone at the same time. Now our only option is to pay $1100 to be on the same flight or travel in two groups, which is not that bad considering my family in DR lives about an hour away from the airport but how does that look that the bride and groom are not traveling together. I'm so sad and so mad at FI, if he would had just listened to me. >:o So I booked the earlier flight obviously but I am so annoyed! I could make FI pay for the $150 fee to be on the same flight together but is not like I'll be traveling alone. I'll have my friends, mom, and sister with me yet deep deep deep in my heart I feel that their flight is going to be way way more than ours. Grrrrrr! Wait till I get home. I'm going to make FI buy me new shoes and ice cream, he's going to make it up to me one way or the other bahahaha lol.

On the bright side we have booked flight for 5 more guests today and we still need to book flight for 4 more later on :) and did I mentioned that the photographer and videographer's travel arrangement are all booked and paid for :D yup more things to be checked off from my list.

Happy Saturday!

More Checks!!!!

So I'm noticing this patterns of checks on Fridays, is it a good thing? To me it is I wonder what FI would think of that lol.

Well today I decided to go on Victoria's Secret website and browse a little. I have a birthday discount card and a free shipping code so I figured I should use it on things that I need. I bought myself a bride hoodie, sexy little thing bride tank, two lingerie, and some other goodies that I love ;) Hey what can I say, I have to stock up for my wedding-moon and boudoir session coming up soon :D

Happy Friday!
